RIVERA INDICTED ON DRUG CHARGES

Troy, NY --Rensselaer County District Attorney Mary Pat Donnelly announced today that her office has indicted Miquel Rivera, 38 of Troy on the following charges:

One Count of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the First Degree, a class A-I Felony 220.21 sub (1)
One Count of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Third Degree, a class B Felony 220.16 sub (12)
One Count of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Third Degree, a class B Felony 220.16 sub (1)
One Count of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Fourth Degree, a class C Felony, 220.09 sub (14)
One Count of Criminally Using Drug Paraphernalia in the 2nd Degree, a class A misdemeanor, 220.50 sub (3) of the Penal Law of the State of New York.

As Assistant Chief Steven Barker of the Troy Police Department noted in an earlier release, the arrest comes as a result of a search warrant where a large amount of narcotics were seized along with over $50,000 in cash. Detectives seized Cocaine, Fentanyl, Ketamine & Heroin at the residence.

“We continue to ask for the communities help as we battle to keep dangerous, illegal drugs off of Troy streets,” said District Attorney Mary Pat Donnelly. “Rensselaer County will not be a gateway for drug activity.” 

Assistant District Attorney Spencer Lane is prosecuting the case for the District Attorney’s Office.
