Troy, NY --Rensselaer County District Attorney Mary Pat Donnelly announced today that the Honorable Jennifer Sober sentenced Joseph Dominquez-Carle, 27, of Troy, to 25 years in prison and 5 years post release supervision for his role in the murder of Michael McMahon.
Domiquez-Carle was convicted of Manslaughter in the 1st degree by a jury on October 6th.
District Attorney Mary Pat Donnelly stated that an indictment alleged that Dominquez-Carle was involved with a woman who was also involved with McMahon. Dominquez –Carle stabbed McMahon inside his President’s Street apartment, wrapped his body with his comforter and dumped McMahon in the woods in Greene County.
The Troy Police investigated the case, and Assistant District Attorneys Cheryl Botts and Antonia Edwards prosecuted the case.
