Public Health Education Program

The purpose of the Public Health Education program is to inform, educate, and empower the public about health issues. Our goal is to promote physical and mental wellbeing. The more knowledge our County residents have regarding health can only help us prevent disease, injury, and disabilities.

Only you know the health issues facing your community, can consider implementing a health education program, and can help us provide safer environments for your members of the larger Rensselaer County community.

This program offers free outreach to Rensselaer County:

  • After school programs
  • Businesses
  • Camps
  • Children's groups
  • Community groups
  • Faith based organizations
  • PTO meetings
  • Schools
  • Senior groups

Public Health Education

Our programs provide our community with the tools they need to understand the facts and make informed decisions based on their knowledge. We can provide this information through:

  • Presentations
  • Assemblies
  • Health fairs
  • Career fairs
  • Materials and brochures
  • Answering questions and concerns over the phone

We know you are aware of the health issues facing your community. Please take advantage of the free health education programs that the Rensselaer County Department of Health offers! We care about you, so give us the tools to make decisions for a better health.
